From Excel Spreadsheets to a Forwarding System

Warehouse efficiency and digital processes

Much of the work in freight forwarding still runs through Excel. Order overviews, freight lists, invoicing, vehicle data – all in spreadsheets. And honestly: Excel isn't bad. It gives you a sense of security when you've been working with it for years.

But don't you sometimes try a new jam on your bread roll?

The Problem with Excel in Logistics

No real-time collaboration: When two dispatchers want to edit the same file simultaneously, things get complicated.

No automatic connections: When an order comes in, you have to manually enter it into your spreadsheet. Then the invoice. Then the statistics. The same data three times – three potential sources of error.

No interfaces: Excel doesn't know that your truck is currently in Milan. It only knows what you tell it.

Growth becomes a problem: What works with 5 orders a day doesn't work with 50.

The Switch Doesn't Have to Be Radical

Many think switching from Excel to a system means: overhauling everything, weeks of training, expensive software. But it doesn't have to be.

Our approach: We build portals and systems that take over exactly the tasks that were previously done laboriously in Excel. And the important thing – importing from Excel is just as possible as exporting back to Excel.

You don't have to change everything overnight. Start with one area. Maybe order entry. Or the vehicle overview. Test it in daily operations. And when it works, add the next area.

What Our Customers Tell Us

The most common feedback we get: "I didn't think it would be this fast." Many expect a months-long project and are surprised when they have a working system after just a few weeks.

That's because we develop with AI support. Customer-specific adjustments that used to take weeks are now possible in days.

Excel Remains Your Friend

And finally: Nobody's taking Excel away from you. Exporting to Excel is possible at any time. Your data belongs to you. But perhaps you'll find that you need Excel less and less because the system has already done the work for you.

And who knows – maybe the new jam actually tastes better than the old one.
